Welcome Back!22 February 2021 (by admin) |
I hope you have all had a lovely half term together.
Myself and the teachers are looking forward to seeing all children today, either at home or in school. Thank you for your continued efforts supporting children both learning at home and in school.
I apologise for the disruption some parents experienced dropping children off this morning. Forestwood School, who we share a site with, have arranged for a new playground to be fitted this week and I had arranged for the work to be halted between 8:30-9am and 3-3:30pm so access to our school site would not be disrupted. Unfortunately, this had not been communicated to the delivery company who arrived at 8:30am. I have spoken to them at length this morning and have been reassured that this work will not cause any further disruption to our school. I shall be outside at the end of the school day today and again tomorrow morning to ensure this is adhered to.
Schools are due to receive direction from the government this evening at 7pm with information and timescales for reopening to all pupils. We very much hope this will be the 8th March. Once the date has been confirmed, I will need to wait for the government guidance to be issued to amend and update the risk assessment accordingly. I shall write to parents with these plans as soon as possible.
Thank you for your continued support, Mrs Elliott.
