Wraparound Care

Our school provides before and after school provision.

We have a breakfast club which starts at 7:30am and an after school club that finishes at 5:45pm.

Breakfast Club

If you need an earlier start in the morning, why not take advantage of our Breakfast Club?

Our aim is to provide a safe, calm environment at the start of the school day, where children can enjoy a nutritious, healthy breakfast to give them a great start to the day.

Breakfast Club is held in the main school hall from 7:30 am to 8:45 am and is supervised by Mrs Harrison, Mrs Heath and Mrs Teasdale.

The cost of each session is as follows:

7:30am - 8:45am £4.00 per child.

8:00am - 8:45am £3.00 per child.

The breakfast menu includes various healthy cereals, fruits, yogurts, and hot breakfast options including bacon sandwiches, scrambled eggs on toast and beans on toast.

After School Club

Our after school club is available from 3:15pm to 5:45pm during term time only. Please note, it will not be available during INSET days or school holidays.  After School Club is supervised by Mrs Jennings, Mrs Gray & Miss Marsden.

The club has a wide selection of games and activities with a planned theme that will be changed periodically and lasts for a few weeks at a time depending upon the children's enjoyment of the activities. Children who attend the After School Club will receive a meal consisting of sandwiches, fruit and snacks with a warm food option every other day.

Costs and timings are outlined below:

3:15pm - 4:45pm £6.50
3:15pm - 5:45pm £8.50

PLEASE NOTE: It is school policy that parents and carers must book Breakfast and After School Club 48 hours in advance. In the event of an emergency, we may be able to accommodate emergency last minute appointments, but these must be emailed to headteacher@mackiehill.wakefield.sch.uk. Verbal request may be taken at the office but this should still be followed up and confirmed via email.

It is the responsibility of the parent and carer to inform their child that they are in wraparound care.
