Covid-19 Updates1 December 2021 (by admin) |
Over the weekend we have seen a rise in the number of reported Covid-19 cases across school. We now have 12 confirmed positive cases amongst children and 3 amongst the staff.
Thank you to parents and carers for acting swiftly to communicate with school and collecting your child promptly when needed. Wakefield Council have now aligned the isolation guidance for siblings with the national guidance. The new guidance is as follows:
If a pupil's relative or household member has tested positive for Covid-19, the pupil may attend school but 7 days of lateral flow tests are strongly advised. If they develop symptoms they must stay at home and take a PCR test. If your child is already at home, they can return to school with daily testing.
I shall continue to monitor the infection rates on the run up to the school residentials.
Thank you, Mrs Elliott
