This year, World Book Day is taking place on Thursday 3^rd March and we shall be celebrating it cosied up, as our theme is ‘Bedtime Stories’. Children are invited to come into school in their pyjamas, onesies or comfort wear for a day of fun activities centred around a bedtime story.  

As this is World Book Day’s 25^th anniversary, our celebrations are going to extend over the week, with classes attempting to work their way through 25 different reading-based challenges and activities. Let’s see which class manages to call ‘Bingo’ first!

We have also planned a book giveaway for the children on World Book Day, so each child can take home a book which is new to them and keep. Donations of well-kept fiction and non-fiction books suitable for ages up to 11 years would be greatly appreciated, with any remaining books used to replenish classroom reading areas.
