Staff absence28 February 2022 (by admin) |
I am writing today to inform you that Mrs Harrison will be absent from school over the coming weeks following a diagnosis of cancer just before half term. Mrs Harrison is currently recovering at home following surgery last week and is due to commence treatment shortly. Mrs Harrison is a wonderful friend to all at Mackie Hill and a much loved and valued member of our school community. I know you will all support me in sending her our very best well wishes and wishing her a speedy recovery.
If parents or careers think it is appropriate, we ask you to share this news with your child(ren). Staff will then support children in school if they have any questions or worries about Mrs Harrison.
While Mrs Harrison is absent, staff in school will be covering her roles along with some additional staff employed to ensure school runs smoothly. Mrs Harrison will remain a member of the school governing body and continue to support Mackie Hill.
I and all the staff will be keeping in contact with Mrs Harrison over the coming weeks and will happily pass on any messages to her from yourselves and the children.
Kind regards,
Mrs Elliott
