Mackie Hill Junior and Infant School

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you of some important updates regarding staffing at our school.

Firstly, I want to extend our warmest wishes to Mrs Gendle as she embarks on her maternity leave, starting at the end of today. Mrs Gendle is a valuable member of our Year 3 team, and we all join together in wishing her the very best during this exciting time. We look forward to welcoming her back after her well-deserved break.

On a positive note, I am thrilled to announce that we have successfully recruited a new Year 3 teacher, Miss Hill, who will be joining Mackie Hill in January 2024. Miss Hill has already made a positive impression on both staff and students. In fact, she met the children earlier this week and conducted an engaging writing lesson, which the children described as 'awesome.' Miss Hill is an experienced teacher who will be a fantastic addition to our school community.

To facilitate a smooth transition, Miss Hill will be working closely with Mrs Pearson next week to familiarise herself with our children and the school environment. We are confident that Miss Hill's passion for education and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment will contribute to a successful remainder of the school year for Year 3.
