Extra-curricular clubs
I am excited to inform you that Dance Explosion and Project Sport will be working closely with school to deliver high quality, fun and engaging after school clubs this year. Sessions will be charged at £2.50 and must be paid for on parent pay for the full term. In addition to this, teaching staff will also be running some extra-curricular activities during lunch time and after school. These sessions will be free of charge. Places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis. Sessions will be rotated on a termly basis so children have the opportunity to attend a variety of activities.
Multi sport and dance are now available to book via your Parent Pay account. If you are unable to book a place this unfortunately means the club is already full. Please contact the email below if you wish for your child’s name to be added to the waiting list. You will then be contacted as soon as a place becomes available. Clubs that are free of charge need to be booked by emailing clubs@mackiehill.wakefield.sch.uk. Please state your child’s name, year group and which club they wish to attend.

Children are welcome to bring P.E. Kit to school to change into at the end of the school day for sports and dance clubs, along with a water bottle. Children will be collected from the main school office following after school clubs.
Please note, after school clubs should not be used as formal childcare. Sessions may be cancelled at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances. Whilst we endeavour not to cancel any of the sessions, at times circumstances are out of our control and we are left with no other option. If a session is cancelled a refund for that session will be provided.
